Earthquakes Do you know what an earthquake is? How the earthquakes occured ? And what is the effect after an earthquake? Well, earthquake is natural disaster that rocked the earth. Earthquakes are vibrations or shocks that occur in the earth’s surface due to the release ofenergy in sudden that creates seismic waves. Earthquakes are cause by the movement of ordinary earth’s crust (plates of earth). Earthquakes have been recorded as early as 1177 B.C. in China. Of course earthquakes have been a part of myth and legend since the dawn of man. In European history, the earliest recorded earthquake occurred in 580 B.C. In North America the great earthquakes of 1811-1812 occurred near New Madrid, Missouri. The most destructive quake in U.S. history occurred in San Francisco in 1906, it caused the deaths of over 700 people. The great Alaskan earthquake of 1964 was twice as powerful, but less destructive due to the low population density of the area struck. The Chilean quake of 1960 was the biggest quake ever recorded. It came in at 9.5 on the Richter scale. The earliest seismologists were the Chinese who worked hard to record their quakes in detail. Aristotle was one of the first Europeans to create a theory about the origin of Earthquakes. He thought that they were the result of heavy winds. When earthquake happens, the earth comes under a terrible convulsion. Many homes and buildings collapsed. They breakdown beating a lot inmates inside them. A lot of forge trees shake violently and get uprooted. People cannot stand upright. They cannot run and they cannot lie down. Water in ponds and rivers is thrown upward. Fire tosses off the heavens and it burns the settlements. Earthquake makes a heavy loss of life and property. Famine breaks out everywhere due to lack of food. Within a few minutes beautiful cities full of palatial buildings lie waste like a war-ravaged country. The men who were boasting of their wealth and pride, are found moving about with begging bowls in their hands. Earthquakes are not new to the world. It is a very common thing on many parts of the earth. Japan is the constant victim of the earthquakes. so, the Japanese make their houses safe from earthquakes. Indonesia also is not altogether free from earth quakes. Particularlu in Sumatera island; which is often rocked by earthquakes. Earthquakes can’t be prevented. Therefore, we must know the knowledge about the earthquake and we must be alert before the earthquakes happen. We have to prepare our mental and also do simulate earthquake evacuation route for a potential tsunami.

she came back :)

Yesterday my sister came from Japan. And we picked her up at airport. There, we waited for her until the plane landed. After several minutes of waiting, we saw her walk out from the door 'domestic arrival'. we was so happy at the moment because of missed her. After that, we came back home with happiness :)

 

At home, my sister opened all souvenirs that she brought from Japan. One by one, she opened all the luggage that full of souvenirs. All of souvenirs was unique 'typical Japanese’. So many unique keychains, dualfunction erasers and many others. She gave me the electronic dictionary. It’s so nice. I like it :). I also got the keychain, erasers, lunch box, pen, chocolate, etc. I really like all the souvenirs. 

I really jelous and also proud of my sister. She’s my pride. I want to be like her, smart and go abroad. I want to have an experience in abroad. I’ll try to be more active and dilligent than before. Okey, say good bye for laziness, now!! Get your spirit and leave your laziness :D

My Descriptive Essay

Pussy, My Lovely Pet

Do you have a pet? What does a pet mean for you? What does your pet look like? Is it a  funny pet or dangerous pet? What do you feel when you have a pet? Pet is animal that you keep at home as a companion. Everyone like to have a pet. Pets can serve as a friend because can relieve stress of the owner. Everybody usually like cats to be their pets. Because cats are tame animal. Cats have beautiful and soft fur. Like most people, i like a cat to be my pet.

I have a pet cat. Its name’s Pussy. Pussy is a female cat. She is a beautiful cat that has a thick fur and a smooth white and brown colored. She has rather small eyes of cats mostly. She has small body that has four cute legs. She looks very funny when she walk with tail also move to the right and to the left. She has cute voice when she say ‘meow’. That’s sound always make any noise in my home.

Pussy spend all her time in my house. She very loyal home guards. She loved to sleep on my bed, especially on my soft blanket. When she was hungry, she’s always meowing at me or my mother. She will continue to follow us and meowing until she gets the food. She is a very spoiled cat. Nevertheless, she is a cat that has a very good habit, and quite rare in the other cats have; she pee in the toilet. Therefore, we always leave the toilet door open. She is a clever cat that maintain a healthy herself.

That’s pussy, my lovely pet cat. A good and funny cat that I have ever had. A cat is different from other cats. I hope she still be my cat until she dies. And i really hope she will give birth to kittens are cute as she.
